What is CEH?

The EC-Certified Council’s Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification is one of the most valued cybersecurity qualifications, validating applicants’ skills to assess and exploit vulnerabilities in order to avoid cyber-attacks. There are two options for meeting the CEH test eligibility requirements:

  • Attend Official CEH Training: This can be in any style, such as instructor-led training, computer-based training (CBT), or live online training, as long as the programme is EC-Council authorized.
  • Attempt the EC-Council certification test without attending official training: To be considered for the EC-Council certification exam without attending official training, you must first:
  • Have two or more years of demonstrated experience in information security
  • Pay a $100.00 non-refundable eligibility application fee.
  • Submit a completed CEH Exam Eligibility Form, along with employer verification.
  • EC-Council will provide you a voucher code to use to register for the CEH test after your application has been approved.

What is the Pattern for Certified Ethical Hacking Exam?

  • Computer-based, multiple-choice style CEH exam
  • Time limit for CEH: 4 hours (240 minutes)
  • The CEH exam is 125 questions long.
  • The cost of the CEH exam is $500 USD.
  • 70% of the time, you’ll get a passing grade.

This includes researching impending IT trends, developing contingency plans, analyzing suspicious activity, reporting security breaches, and teaching the rest of the firm about security precautions. They might earn around $103,590 annually. 
  • Computer Forensics Analyst: They are analysts who specialize in computer forensics aid in the investigation of crimes and cyber-attacks. They work to retrieve information that is buried, encrypted, or erased in many circumstances. They also protect the data’s integrity by following a chain of custody that guarantees its admissibility in court. The average compensation for a computer forensic analyst is $63,280 per year.
  • Security Specialist: Security experts, often known as cybersecurity experts, design and execute security solutions to safeguard computer networks and systems. Security professionals are frequently hired by businesses to safeguard data networks, prevent security breaches, and implement improvements to improve security. A Cyber Security Specialist earns an average of $83,516 a year in the United States.
  • Penetration Tester: As a penetration tester, you’ll conduct authorized tests on computer systems in order to uncover security flaws that hackers may misuse. You can expertise in controlling a certain system type, such as systems and infrastructures. The operating systems Windows, Linux, and Mac are all available. The average compensation for a penetration tester is $86,000.
  • Security Engineer: A cyber security engineer creates and deploys safe network solutions to protect against hackers, cyberattacks, and other long-term threats. They also test and monitor these systems on a regular basis to ensure that all of the system’s defenses are up to date and functioning properly.
