Patsy’s Deathbed Confession
One of Patsy’s friends, Susie Carter, recalls a conversation they had shortly before Patsy’s death. Carter said that she saw a tabloid headline that claimed Patsy had made a deathbed confession about JonBenét’s murder. Carter joked with Patsy about the headline, but Patsy denied making any such confession.
“Oh, Susie, that is so last week,” Patsy said, according to Carter.
However, Carter believes that Patsy may have been holding on to some secrets about JonBenét’s death. “I have to believe that when she’s making those sweet, witty comebacks, her heart is just aching,” Carter said.
Patsy’s Hope for Justice
Despite the pain of her daughter’s death, Patsy never gave up hope that JonBenét’s killer would be brought to justice. In a 2005 interview, Patsy said that she believed the killer would eventually be caught.
“I know that one day, somehow, some way, the truth will come out,” Patsy said. “And I know that when it does, it will be a shock to everyone.”
Patsy’s Legacy
Patsy Ramsey’s death was a tragedy, but her legacy lives on. She is remembered as a loving mother who would do anything for her children. She is also remembered for her strength and courage in the face of adversity.
“Patsy was a fighter,” her husband, John Ramsey, said after her death. “She never gave up hope, even in the darkest of times.”
