Businessman and investor Maksym Krippa will soon take over as the head of the Ukrainian Federation of Esports. He is known as the owner of the legendary NAVI club, Maincast studio, as well as the Ukraine hotel in the center of the capital, and other assets.
According to Ukr Info, along with Krippa, key managers from NAVI will join the board. This may indicate ambitious plans to develop the esports infrastructure in Ukraine and strengthen the role of the Federation as a specialized body.
Such a personnel upgrade can be an impetus for qualitative changes in the industry, from the popularization of professional esports to the organization of large-scale international events.
What changes are coming to UESF
According to the available information, the Ukrainian Federation of Esports is about to undergo a complete renewal of its management team. The current management will resign, and the board will be replaced by representatives of the top management of one of the most famous esports clubs in the country, NAVI and Maincast Studio.
The new team will include heads of various areas of the club, from strategic planning to media and operational management. This renewal may indicate the intention to give the Federation a new impetus focused on professionalization, international cooperation, and the development of the esports infrastructure in Ukraine.
It is expected that these changes will be officially approved in the near future, opening a new stage in the organization’s activities.
Changes in operations
The Ukrainian Federation of Esports needs between $1.5 and $2 million in investments annually to fully launch and operate, according to one of the former members of the management team. According to him, the new team has significantly more resources, in particular due to the participation of Maksym Krippa, which gives reason to hope for the realization of ambitious plans that their predecessors failed to implement.
Commenting on future investments, Krippa said that a comprehensive development strategy for the Federation is currently being developed. The priorities include building effective interaction with players and fans, implementing programs for school and student esports, creating conditions for the social reintegration of veterans through gaming activities, and expanding the list of disciplines for which the organization will be responsible.
According to the businessman, a special emphasis will be placed on consistency. It is planned to launch a clear and transparent structure for holding national championships, the results of which will become the basis for the formation of the Ukrainian national team that will represent the country in international esports arenas.
